That flathead engine looks to have WWII flathead service engine parts. I'd say those trucks were left over from WWII. From the North African campaign, possibly. Could be wrong.

No it is about a 1000 miles from my hometown. I do however try to get the waterfall hood ornament of the 40 1/2 ton truck. Also, I need a 90 number on my 40 1 ton truck hood ornament. They will check the number for me.

Some where I have a pic of one of my uncles in WW2 standing beside a Ford V8 truck in the desert ,he was in the NZ army.

The Ford engine has C69A casting marks (Canadian post war). 1941 hood on the Ford. If it isn't too rusty of damaged then it has potential. The old International looks like a model KB but it's missing stuff.

Lawrie were those Kiwi Army guys called “ the rats of Tobruk” cos they had to scavenge their way through with bugger all back up?
