New carb installed
Hey guys,
I finally got my English Stromberg 97 carburetor and installed it yesterday. I took it out for a test drive and it sounded like it was missing on 2 or 3 cylinders. It was running without this problem with my old carburetor so I pulled the plugs. They were black, covered in carbon. I had less than 200 miles on this set of plugs. I replaced the plugs and the engine is running good now. Is this sound like a fuel delivery problem or an electrical problem? Richard |

Re: New carb installed
If it runs good now, I would guess you had a temporary flooding problem that went away. Possibly from some contamination that got caught in the fuel valve and seat, that cleared itself out, but originally caused a very high fuel level. Just a guess.
