Default brake adjuster dust cover problem

Hi Guys; i am having a problem removing the brake adjusting dust cover on my 35 ford.
Some one in another life installed brake energizers that does not the screw adjuster ,but has a wheel inside.i am installing Teds energizers. The cap is peened down to hold the dust cap. I know if I still had the stock adjuster i can screw it in and pop the cover off. I am not having any luck putting the peened area back to pop the cover off .Any ideas??

If you can get a replacement dust cover, maybe weld something onto the dust cover and use a slide hammer to pop it off?

Use a small punch or a sharp screw driver and punch one side of it on a angle and collapse it ,reshape it later by using a ball peen and a socket as a anvil ,grind the edges to refit it ,
