Cars in 36 where stomp start, like the model a. So in 37ish. Trucks always followed cars as they used up old parts. Think it was universal in 37. 37 truck guys can say for certain if they have a stomp starter. I can say 38 is push button with solenoid.

I have a 1937 1 1/2 ton dump truck with 35,000 plus original miles. Push button starter button is on dash. My brother has 1936 1 1/2 ton dump with floor starter. Tinker has it right! !937 was fist year for dash starter button.
