I grew up in Baldwin Park, about 35 or 40 miles from Venice but we never went there, too rich of a neighborhood for us! I later worked at LAX, right next door to Venice, but too late to see those trams. Interesting bit of history, thanks for posting!

Growing up in Santa Monica I rode the Venice Beach trams many times in my life. When the company went out of business one of the trams wound up at CBS Studio Center in Studio City, CA. They used it to shuttle audience members to the stages for sitcoms. While it was there I got to go over, under, around, and through it. It did indeed have Model A running gear. It disappeared from the lot and I have no idea where it wound up.
