Easy, once you know how
How do I get the button removed from the rod on my parking brake handle? I see a pin; drive it through? I gave it a couple wacks with a punch and small hammer. Didn't budge. Pound away?
Oh, it's a '29 with the push button type parking brake handle. |

Yes. Put a little Kroil on it first.

Re: Easy, once you know how
I would suggest to remove the push button from the rod to drill out the pin. I tried knocking it out with a punch and hammer; disaster. Bent the rod and broke the plastic finger grip. Probably poor technique on my part, but be aware things can go wrong.
Had a ratchet, pawl and rod ordered and the plastic pieces can be JB welded together, so I'm not too bummed out. |

Can't think of any plastic on the brake handle, do you have a picture.
