Re: Bob Slack Collection
David,
I'm not sure but I think the seller was from Michigan or Indiana. I think the one from Connecticut was owned by a guy named Chris Carrier, it was not nearly as nice, that car has been turned into a street rod. |

Tom - such a hideous thing to have done to you both by Slack and the vendor. David and Tom - is this the Hershey deluxe coupe you refer to? The pic to the right is as I believe that car is now. https://www.hemmings.com/stories/201...-up-at-hershey Last edited by Deuce-Addict; 09-14-2023 at 04:42 AM. |

Re: Bob Slack Collection
Jeff Gill had this beauty which I always wondered whether the Bob Slack auction car as pictured in the top left of the advert. Although grainy, the auction car looked to have a 25 louver hood. Presume Tom, the auction pic is of the car you were cheated out of?

Re: Bob Slack Collection
This one turned up at the LA Roadster Show in 2006 with a $100k price tag.

Re: Bob Slack Collection
After all the back and forth that went on with that car, I find it quite ironic that that car ended up being sold at an "Absolute Auction; No Minimum, No Reserve".

Re: Bob Slack Collection
Keith,
I'm pretty sure that the coupe in your photos with the New York license plates belonged to my very good friend, Dick Spadaro (RIP). It's a Canadian car and I've had the pleasure of riding in it with Dick numerous times. Tom, The one that I am thinking of was on the show field and not on one of the swap meet fields at Hershey and it was in very, very good condition with an all original interior, some photos of which are in my book. I think that Chris Carrier's car was another one yet again. |

Re: Bob Slack Collection
David,
There was the Jim Kroll red/maroon 3W at Hershey in 04 and there was another very well restored 3W coupe there about 10 years ago, that one was from Tx. tubman, "After all the back and forth that went on with that car, I find it quite ironic that that car ended up being sold at an "Absolute Auction; No Minimum, No Reserve"." Good question Last edited by BoxCar Tom; 09-15-2023 at 11:16 PM. |
