Geez can't believe we are still talking about 70's Turbo'ed flatheads on Fordbarn!

But sure for maximum performance, building a properly sized turbo setup for your Flathead or any other engine will yield excellent performance results and almost zero lag. Might as well add EFI and a computer controlled auto trans while you are at it too. I guess they have been around long enough to be considered vintage/antique.

I don't see much point in putting a big turbo on a low revving engine, but I guess it could have been a "lets see if I can do it" deal.

I dunno....some years ago, I attended a nostalgia drag meet...there was a guy there with a turbo'ed Model A, man, that thing was fast....he was faster than the flattie V8's that were racing.
