Default Problem Fixed

From day one when I first joined Ford Barn, I have had problems with
having to constantly log in each time I clicked onto the site. I've heard
other "Barners" complain about the same thing and I have tried all
of the "fixes" to help correct this problem. None of them worked for me.
What finally worked for me was when last week I shelled out 14.99 to the
company that handles my security software to have them clean up my
computer of unnecessary garbage and to speed up my computer. I have
Norton 360 and they offer a one time scrub for what seems like a reasonable price to me. A Norton tech takes over your computer and spends about an hour "fixing things." I hope my yammering doesn't bore
the masses here on the Barn, but I was so pleased, I just felt like sharing.
I know, I know, I need to get a life!

That's great Jack, some of the small things can get so frustrating. I recently updated my I phone, and it has really slowed it down, I can pect type faster than the letters showing up on the screen, quite annoying

There is a free download that will clean up your computer called "CCleaner" stands for Crap Cleaner. Works great at removing all the garbage on your computer that you get from being on the internet.

I had C cleaner for quite awhile, and while it is really good it didn't fix my problem
on the Barn.

I dumped Norton after it slowed my computer to a crawl. I have an older computer ruining under Vista and when Norton sent me a stack of updates, it died. So I took off Norton, downloaded Microsoft Elements (for free!), after getting advise from my computer guy, and the old computer was almost as fast as it was when I purchased it. So far, Elements has protected my computer as well as Norton did. You can download Elements by going the the Microsoft site.

From what I see with Norton, and I am no computer expert, Norton continues to update and add to their software. After awhile older computers, which are slower, have a hard time executing the new type of software that Norton updates to. So the older computers tend to die using current versions of Norton. Again, no computer expert but this is my $.02 worth.
