Nothing beats a correctly built and tested original Zenith for the model A IMHO...

Any idea why they are still out of stock at Snyders and Brattons and some others?

I bought a new carb back when they were $300. I was having lots of trouble at the time with the old carb that I had rebuilt 3 times before. Put that new carb on and has been on my pickup ever since and runs perfect. I would buy another.

We have two from him and they have run very well. I have three cores in my shop, we're going to send them to him one at a time and have them redone. He does great work.

I'm at a loss as to why someone would pay that much for a carb when you can pick up a core for 50 to 100 and pay Jim 150 to rebuild it.

I have also had 2 Zenith carbs rebuilt by Jim. Outstanding work fast turn around time and they worked perfectly. The last one He spoke to me on the phone and stated it was on his test engine running and I could hear it on the phone.. If you do not have a core he will sell you a rebuilt one for much less than what a "new one" costs
I would not hesitate to use him again

best Zenith "A" carb I ever had was a rebuild from Berts.
$200 exchange about 10 years ago.
Our unrestored 31 Coupe would not run worth a hoot until I put the Bert's rebuild on.

now running a "B" Zenith on the Town Sedan that came with it, no problems in over 11,000 miles.

Are we talking about the Zenith carb in it's original design, or the Zenith Advanced design carb?

A man in our club (he is 100 years old now) has had a Zenith Advanced Design carb on his Tudor for years now.
