Default Intake manifold bolts

Quick question, short answer.

Do the bolts for intake require a lock washer, flat washer, or no washer at all.

Not sure what if anything is required. I kind of like alloy steel black oxide allen head bolts with SAE flat washer. Not close to stock but it looks good with aluminum intake.

Cast intake NO washers authentically. Aluminum intakes required hex head bolts and cadmium plated flat washers.

There is no reason to NOT use a hardened flat washer - underneath a lock washer (at least that is how I do it). This helps prevent galling on the surface and makes for a bit nicer tightening/torque sequence. Now - if you're building a 100% perfect restoration, you'd need to do what Henry did - and I have no clue as to exactly what that is! What I do know is that the intake bolts from Ford are very specific to the intake manifold . . . easy to recognize even in a pile of hardware!
