Re: '32 Cabriolet Front Roof Rail
Matt do you need the metal cups as well or just the wood? Did you get your other cabriolet yet

Re: '32 Cabriolet Front Roof Rail
With respect, cups, what cups? Do you mean the dowel pins at the top of the windshield structure of the cowl?

I have the top irons and now I need all remaining items to construct the top - top bows, front roof rail /metal cups. I'll be on the hunt for other items as well - brake / clutch pedals, etc. |

Re: '32 Cabriolet Front Roof Rail
I can find later brackets or Cups listed in the books but not for the 32. I am sure it is listed somewhere in the 1932 books for the part number

Re: '32 Cabriolet Front Roof Rail
The book in the photo appears to be the 1936 or 1938 edition of Ford's Hardware and Trimming Supplies catalog. As hop up notes the two versions on that page are the '33-'34 and the '35-'36. The '32 version does not show up in the 1932 edition (published in 1933) or the 1934 edition of those hardware catalogs. That explains why it is not shown in Appendix 11 of Volume 2 in my book.
The original part number of the '32 version was: B-68622. Ford's name for it was: windshield header dowel bracket. |

Re: '32 Cabriolet Front Roof Rail
Newc Carl is making some awesome stuff but in the 32 header piece it also has the tin bottom panel . I didn’t realize this till I took a picture of the brackets and seen it has a metal mounting surface/tin . I would entertain lending the bracket out as I did with the window frames long ago to my friend Jerry when he collected 32s. He produced a bunch of side window frames and its hardware for many years.
