Model A's in Amana Iowa
The Hawk A's put out the welcome-to-the-heartland sign for the fourth time on August 18. About 100 A's and AA's and a whole lot of people congregated in Main Amana, heart of the old German commune west of Cedar Rapids. To say it was another success would be faint praise. It was wonderful!
Try splitting your day ogling cars; learning about Aaaaaaooga (yeah, that's the correct spelling. If you've never heard one tuned to "wind up," then you have only heard an ooga horn) horn restoration; seeing a professional interior installation; eating wiener schnitzel "family style"; and downing a couple Mill Stream beers. It makes for a full and extremely enjoyable day. So, if you've missed four of these opportunities, be sure to INK the date into your 2013 calendar NOW. |
