Re: Forum Name
Mine is a username I registered many years ago on another forum (Ford Truck Enthusiasts - www.ford-trucks.com) At the time Montana was my home, also born and raised there and I've been a ford fan all my life so I guess that worked. I still want to move back someday but life and career has taken me elsewhere so the name doesn't fit quite as well anymore. I'm not sure if any fordbarn people are familiar or members on that other site so in hindsight I wish I'd picked something more appropriate. Maybe a username with my actual name so people know who I am, or 45B, or a combination of both since I have a coupe. It seems a little late to change now since I have an "identity" here with that name though - so Montanafordman it is. You can also call me Aaron.
Nodadwalleyer - UND grad here - I spent 7 years in Grand Forks as a student then flight instructor. Worked at Checker Auto Parts on gateway for a while too. GO Sioux! As a side note I almost took a history class from Gordon Iseminger for an elective, I remember the name because my roommate was a history major. Now I've seen his name pop up as the author of some restorer articles from a while back, and have seen his name in the classifieds. I should have taken his class! Then again I wasn't as big of a model A fanatic, I just thought they were cool and was interested in my Granddad's model A project(which is now mine). Academics were a much larger focus at the time but it would have been interesting to get to know him and know what the Model A scene is like around there.

Re: Forum Name
Mine is from work (I work in a Steel Mill everybody has a nickname). My shop boss named me this because his boss thought I was his "Skimmer Expert" at repairing and keeping it running ( a piece of Hydraulic equipment that rakes slag off the top of liquid Metal). "Bob" he said because it's a generic name here (He is from Lebanon). From then on I was "SkimmerBob".

Re: Forum Name
Folks didn't like nick names so gave me the short version of Raymond, and I live in La Mesa, California. My brother's name is Donn, not Donald.

Re: Forum Name
I acquired a 29 Model A from Allen Funt. His license plate was SMILE29. I now have that plate which his estate won't allow me to use but AAA did let me have 29SMILE, thus the 29 at the end of my name, part of it anyway, David Mc Arthur.

Re: Forum Name
I had to find one that wasn't in use or I hadn't been called...lucky for me, mine fit right in. Most all the ones that I've been called, wouldn't have been allowed anyway.

I had a 30 Cabriolet that had been turned into a 5 seater inside thus the stretch part.

Re: Forum Name
My name is Manuel and I live in Australia.
Australians use Oz, Aus, Aussie as an abbriviation of the name (or slang) Cheers |

Re: Forum Name
I have no explanation for mine...I'm just about as far away from any ocean where a seaslug would be present, but do find sea life interesting.
There is a type of seaslug that while "growing up" eats algae, absorbs the chlorophyll from the algae into its body, then as an adult it never eats, just uses the chlorophyll from the algae it ate as a kid to get energy from the sun! BUT mostly because I could pick that name and (amazingly!) it wasn't taken yet haha.
