Default (Help Source) For .100 over Piston rings 255 engine

Help I need a ring set for 255 eng. at .100 over. Both Reds Headers, and Van Pelt are a "no go". I am now over 80 Yrs, and I have had this set of TRW 4 ring pistons that are fit up to good rods for over 60 yrs. Engine was run for one year. cold Idaho winter froze and broke the block. I then sold all I could sell, and kept the crank rods and pistons. I am going to put together a Flathead and would like to use these parts. I am unable to find a 4 Ring set to fit the pistons. Thanks for any help that I can get. I do not think Flatheads will ever die, and some of us old fools should be so lucky and run so good. David

If you want 4 rings you will need to buy 2 sets
Or just run with three rings is what i was told by Rich at AER in Skokie Il.
The two bottom ones are the same

I have a 3 ring set. You can leave the bottom ring off. This is how I build my engines.

What about a set for .125 over? They should be easy to find and only .025 bigger bore and the rings are only a tiny bit longer. File to fit.

Hastings discontinued the 3-3/16” + .100 early this year. The 80 and 125 sizes are still available. Grant still seems to be MIA since they made the production move from California to Mexico.....no product has come out of there that I am aware of since the move.

Here in NZ had trouble sourcing some piston rings. Ended up getting them made locally.
Win Win. Good price and local business was supported.
