Default What brake drum is this??

I need to replace the missing and damaged wheel hub bolts and can't figure out which ones I need. I ordered the 68-1107 but the "C" length (see chart) is to long by an 1/8" and the "D" diameter seems too big. what would be the correct one? Should the stud fit loose when installed then when it's sweged it expands?

First question, who did you order bolts from?
I ordered from Macs about a year ago and got two black studs and one silver one, went to put them in months later and the two black ones fit perfect, silver did not, called them up for replacement and twice got the ones that didn't fit(after explaining the difference to them). Finally they told me we don't have those anymore , so to make a long story longer , I ended up ordering some NOS from a Barn member.
Nothing fits better than the ones Henry made!

Macs still lists studs.
32-16678-1- 1 3/4 long
32-10016-1 1-1/2" long.
You could always grind off what you don't need.
Looks like the drum for 46 to 48

The drum is from a '40 to '42 Ford or Merc.

I ordered from Early Ford V-8 Sales . I picked the 68-1107 thinking they were correct.
Should they fit loose before sweging?

Looking at the Ford greenbook 40- 48 were the same part number you and George/ Maine may be correct.
Anyone else?

What may have happened, is that someone pressed that stud out without removing either the swedge or the head beforehand. Pushing it out (Beating more likely) with the swedge intact will make the hole oversize. That may be why your new stud is a loose fit.

Shouldn't be loose, in a pinch you could knurl it if it's not too much clearance.

The hub is a 01A part number, so logically you should be using one of the 01A studs. Can you deduce the length of one of the existing studs so you can order the correct one? The studs in your hub appear to have a full head rather than a flat (I might be wrong on that) That is a type 2 rather than a type 1 in your list.

When we install new wheel mounting studs in a drum we put a tack weld on each one to prevent them from spinning. Many of the replacement studs have poor knurling and don't swedge properly. If a stud works loose, and you need to change a tire, you will be out of luck on the road.

It's not loose at all. Hole mics at .55. I was just asking if it should be loose. Then once swedged it expands.

It may not show to clear in the pic but the hub has the studs with a flat side. There is a 01A 1107-A type one 1with a flat side I suspect will work. I'm going to order some and see if they are correct.

Thanks for the help

These are '46-'48 drums pictured below.

The "01A" embossed on the BLACK drum's hub in question denotes a 1940-type hub. DD
