Shopping list for new A
I am developing a shopping list of things I will need when we get delivery of the Model A. An OTC hub puller, it has 1 inch 14 threads so it appears to be made in the US not China junk. Temp gauge, and a floor jack. I have plenty of hydraulic jacks and jack stands and I'll need a creeper, haven't had one of those since I was a teenager. I'll need a new compression tester as mine is at least 50 years old and not used in all that time. I should have most everything else, as I'm set up for working on both gas and diesel engines. Did I cover it??

A good service manual and of course the Ford owners manual.

Re: Shopping list for new A
I think I would go with the Vintage Precision hub puller.

Re: Shopping list for new A
I have looked at the many different hub pullers and it looks like the OTC with a easy to make adapter will also do several jobs on my backhoe that I have struggled with.

FWIW
While a floor jack is really handy as are jack stands....I also have a motorcycle lift bought at a garage sale and love it with the A, pluses are No long handle in small work area, Two pickup up points, car doesn’t wobble, Safety arm holds jack in position

Re: Shopping list for new A
Post a picture of the hub puller, I doubt it is the one you want to use. Buy enough parts to tune up the car, if it doesn't need a tune up store them under to seat. Always carry a spare condenser, buy it from Bratton's and get the best one they have.

Re: Shopping list for new A
Why not wait and see if the local club has a tool inventory you can lend or rent? You shouldn’t need one all that often.

Re: Shopping list for new A
Local Club, haha, we live in the sticks, a local club here would be something you whack a groundhog over the head with. We have one store and it is an old general store like Druckers on Green Acres TV show and that's it. We have a very small town about 18 miles away and a small town about 26 miles away. Nearest club would be around a two hour drive I would guess. I'll drive to Pigeon Forge and borrow yours, we love Pigeon Forge and want to drive the A there.

Re: Shopping list for new A
Good idea and now I understand your rationale for wanting to establish an inventory.

Re: Shopping list for new A
That three arm puller will also work, pulling a wheel and hub at once, should a stud come loose.

Re: Shopping list for new A
Use a nice big sheet of cardboard and forget he creeper. Just a big box you can pitch when it gets dirty.

Re: Shopping list for new A
Haha, good idea. We are buying everything online now because of Covids and can't get rid of the cardboard fast enough, recycled.
