I would just leave it like it is. If you are wanting to keep it that way. It will probably be parked inside. It took a long time to get that way. I don't see it getting worse very soon.

Thanks. I think I will for now. It is the hood, and easily dealt with later. I had to do something about the running boards. There was no paint left and they looked like hell. They will be scuffed up soon enough.

What kind of material should I use to finish the inside of the doors and body?

If youve got panels to cover the guts, Id DOUCHE the heck out of it with rustoleum ZINC spray paint .... also called "cold galvanizing". Its really thin and will soak into cruddy corners etc. When we welded chainlink fence stuff etc at the power plant we used that on the fresh welds outside and it lasted forever. Makes for great fast dying primer too; just a little watery as mentioned above.
Ive also used it for a "dust coating" on cleaned steam turbine parts parked outside during over hauls after sandblasting and the stuff didnt even discolor with frost or dew sitting on all the components. Overspray wipes off with acetone; a little more rubbing with mineral spirits. ws

32forddump,there is a product called Pentrol,it's in the paint section at Lowes hardware,it is used as a paint additive to elliminate brush marks, some fellows with hit n mis engines turned me on to it,easy to apply,I brushed it on my 1922,took less than a qt. very thin, try it I think you will like.
