Anyone here done the conversion from single to dual master cyl and what parts were used ? I see the adapter and 69-70 mustang drum to drum is the way to go. How did yours work out ?

Early 60's Cadillac had a drum/drum dual MC that used the SAME size tubing as Ford. I had a '34 with one in it. Operated from the center bellcrank and mounted on the right leg of the X member. 62/63 Cadillac. Newc

I too have heard several positive reasons for using this early '60s Caddy M/C in an old Ford that still has original brakes and hydraulic lines. The bore diameters appropriately match what is necessary for the old brakes to 'feel' right, as well as the easy adaptation/match with original Ford brake tubing diameter.

I put a '69 Mustang MC in my '40 coupe. Using the adapter on the frame mount, the push rod needs to be lengthened by the thickness of the adapter. Also, I had to section the cover (sliced , then brazed) to clear the floorboard. Otherwise it operates very well. If I did another I would use the Corvette MC......easier installation.

EDIT: You will need to make up some brake line sections for the split in the system....no big deal though.

Stuff like this needs to be put on the HAMB. Just leave them the way Henry built them.

Ah! Ah! You wouldn't be forgetting the NON-STOCK hydraulic brakes on YOUR pick-up, would you?

So I guess this means no turn signals, second tail light, seat belts, brake floaters, safety glass, etc?

Caution the MC pictured will have the brake lines coming out towards the drivers side . Check your exhaust clearance to brake lines .

No Coop. What I am obviously referring to is that this site is supposed to be dedicated to what is correct and stock, or as Henry built it, for those who are interested in old Fords and looking to restore them correctly and preserve a little automotive history, not modify them or bastardize them.

Yes, I have hydraulic brakes and turn signals on Apatchy. He also had dual horns which conceal the front turn signal lights, and dual tail lights so as to indicate the direction I would be turning. As the name of my truck implies, it is built with patches. Your acutely discerning mind should have been able to instantly comprehend that.

Sorry if I confused you.
