Default 40 truck cab




can anyone tell me if a cab off of a 1940 one & half ton truck is the same as a 1940 half ton ? Dave

Believe the cabs were all the same.

David, from my understanding, the cab is the same with one exception- the fuel tank is under the seat and thus the filler pipe goes into the passenger side of the cab like the 42-47 pickups. The seat riser may be slightly different to accomodate the fuel filler. Other than that, the cab and doors should be the same. Those old big trucks are good places to get windshield garnish molding and door parts at a good price. One guys opinion
