Default valve adjustment '41 v-8

I installed my Isky 77-B cam with adjustable solid lifters to 14 ex. and 12 in.
Have probably 2-300 miles on motor, now I have a little noise out of the exhaust of what I think are maybe an exhaust valve or two that aren't happy.

When I pull the intake manifold, can you reference to me the procedure of checking clearances, using the rotor on distributor for reference, or top dead center, ect. Of course no pointer on crankshaft pulley to use.

Any website I could use would be appreciated.

Thanks, by the way, the threaded rod puller for the center carrier bearing worked like a champ. That was a forehead slap for me, wow! Sometimes I can really make things difficult!

You should ask this question in the Early V8 section. This section is for questions about the site.
If you installed and adjusted the first time, what would be different now? Didn't you have the specks the first time?
