Default Brake cross shaft bushings

I have a question about the bushings in the brake cross shaft. I’m using the split bushings from one of the venders and was wondering if I can put dry powder graphite on them and the shaft for lubrication?
Thanks for your help
Chris

I like the use of graphite in locations like this where the bearing is not very well protected from dirt. It does not attract dust like grease does.
There being no provision for lubricating those bushes, I'd feel comfortable with what you suggest. It's better than the original and there have been million of those running for about 90 years.
