Readings on a vacuum gauge
I would like to know the vacuum gauge readings on any standard V8 model vehicles when you are cruising along in top gear at say 40 to 50mph. I am trying to work out the vacuum on the distributor vacuum brake for the crab and helmet type of distributors.

Re: Readings on a vacuum gauge
Adjusting the vacuum brake is quite simple. No vacuum readings necessary. From the Ford repair manual:

Re: Readings on a vacuum gauge
The problem here now, is with the fuel we use we have found out that most of our original V8's do not ping.
