32 V8 motor mounts
City:
Somerville
State:
Ohio
My friend Rusty in Ohio is in the process of building a 32 from scratch and needs for his work a set of good usable 32 motor mounts. If there is somebody out there with no need for them and is willing to sell them, make us an offer, please.
Thanks for your help, Alex |

Re: 32 V8 motor mounts
Original '32 front motor mounts are difficult to find and are expensive when you do find them. Someone is reproducing them but I don't know who it is. Maybe send a PM to Dick Spadaro and he may know where to get them.

Re: 32 V8 motor mounts
The very early ones are okay for him, because he has the very early pedal assembly for his chassis. How much would that go. I think he is not willing to pay to much for them. Besides he sold his hopped up 32 5-window in 1969 for arround 900,- bucks. ;o)))

Re: 32 V8 motor mounts
What counts is the configuration of the front cross member, not whether the pedals are early or late.

Re: 32 V8 motor mounts
Hello The very early crossmembers are flat in the area of the motor mounting and have just some drilled hales. Whereas the late(most common) have two depressions for the motor mount rubber cushions to locate in. These depressions are about 1/4 to 5/16 lower than the early (rare) flat crossmember. Early or late the "L" brackets and cushions are hard to find and are usually expensive. If strict originallity isn"t required the repops are a inexpensive alternative and will get the job done.
