You will notice that in post #3 V8COOPMAN was quick to reply that "FRANK WEST banned". He knows what happened and so do I but none of my business to say. Frank was a nice guy and did not deserve this ban in my opinion.

Isn't there a time limit on being banned here? Like standing in the corner for a month?

Frank is an okay guy but I never understood why nobody steered him away from the V8 forum and to the four banger forum where would get loads of help.

Perhaps, but a '33-'34 four does not have all that much in common with a Model A four, at least in terms of the types of problems Frank was seeking advice to help resolve. Either way, I don't think he will have the kind of response rates on the AACA forum he experienced herein. (I'm not knocking the AACA or its forum as I'm a 50-year member.)

Why can't one of the moderators step in here and tell us what happened? I know I am walking on eggshells, because some of my opinions are a lot stronger than what I saw from Frank. I like it here, and would like to know what not to do so I don't get banned. (I also noticed the "Coopman" thing.)

I, as many others tried to help Frank, either on the forum here or thru PM's. I tried to find out where he lived (general area) as there were probably many people close by who could give him "hands on" help. He seemed to not want to share and do it by himself thru questions/answers.

I'm amazed that posts with questions about old Fords sometimes hardly get any response, and yet a thread about someone who is no longer here gets 5 pages and 85 posts.

For what its worth, I too thought he was a decent guy and probably succumbed to taunting from a troll.

I also had PM and e-mail exchanges with him, lots of them, and they just ceased at about the time that he was "banned" from this site. As for where he resides, my impression was that it was somewhere in the eastern half of Pennsylvania. As I mentioned earlier, I am not completely convinced that his real name is Frank West. Evidently he is a very private person.

Seems to me we should just leave the poor man alone. I don't believe all this speculation does anyone any good. I agree with Scott H. Just an opinion.

Simply, why can't anyone just tell us what really happend so we may be able to adjust our behavior?

Dollar to a donut, the mod's will not explain, nor do they need to because "I just want to know".

We've seen some members banned for a long time...who are still banned, and others who have had short bans.

It is what it is, asking "why", will get you no where.

"The owners of The Ford Barn reserve the right to remove, edit, move or close any thread for any reason."

That seems straight forward and simple to me. We are quest on oneself else's site and can be ask to leave (banned) for any reason they choose.

Maybe the V8COOPMAN will chime-in and enlighten us.

Hi Everyone, Another 'Barner tipped me off, and I looked... FrankWest has been "un-banned" sometime in the last couple of weeks, so it was temporary. He's logging in and visiting but not posting.

I also see he changed his avatar, I think it's John Dillinger. Maybe that's a comment on his banning, maybe not.

He was on the Model A forum a lot, and received a lot of guidance there as well.
