Default 1936 coupe 1/4 window rubber seals

i bought a pair of 1/4 window seals from cw moss. not real happy with them,
when i removed the old glass the gaskets came off in bits & pieces and i noticed a small bead on the outside top edge. the new ones are missing this detail.
any better ones out there? thanks, kurt.

Not really.Drake ones I bought in 08 didn't have that bead you mentioned.Just a plain U-shaped rubber that you cut and fit.Why would it be at just the top and not all the way around ? Maybe your were squished over the years?

I suspect that bead was caused by the pressure on the gasket up against the body and when the seal dried out it kept that shape. I have bought those seals from a variety of vendors and manufacturers and never saw a bead on those seals.

no, the bead was molded into it. the bead goes all the way around, thats why i said it's on the top edge. if you did a cut away, the bead is on the top of the U shape. i have a piece saved, if it didn't get tossed, i'll show.

In about 1993 I bought 1/4 window rubbers for the 5w. Had the bump out. Redid the windows while back and no bump out.
