Early '28's didn't have a separate emergency brake system; the hand lever applied all four service brakes.


Because it was not a completely separate system from the service brakes, several states declared it illegal which is why Ford completely re-designed the brake system in mid-28.

OK thanks for that....

I thought there might be a reason there was no e-brake carrier....!

Hard to imagine a vehicle without a separate e-brake but, well, it was a long time ago...
