Default Paint after brake clean

I cleaned some brake fluid residue from the outside of a booster with brake clean. Can I prime and paint now without any further prep?

I'm not a professional painter! But I would use something like carb cleaner or lacquer thinner to wipe it down and dry it well before attempting to paint it. Might want to use a brake fluid resistant paint as well.

I use brake clean, then paint with good success. sometimes I use a heat gun to slightly warm the part to evaporate what is left and make the primer flow better

Whenever I clean something with brake cleaner I always follow it up with carb cleaner. I always felt it left a better finish on the part to prep it. But 4dy can't disagree with success.

Eastwood Company sells paint for the boosters, One of their products will restore the original "plated" appearance.
