Re: Hubcap ID's
Here's the recessed one, both wouldn't upload together.

The first is a '33 and the second is a '34.

At the top right, we have the 1933 Ford V8. In the centre is the cap that is correct for both the 1932 and 1933 Ford with the 4 cylinder engine. The hubcap in the bottom row on the left is a 1934 Ford V8, while the centre one is from the 1934 Ford with the 4 cylinder engine. Then on the right, we have the final hubcap of this size and it is off a 1935 Ford V8. I know that Dave has already answered your question, but I though that showing all the hubcaps that were available would be helpful. |

Re: Hubcap ID's
Does anyone have a 35 hubcap to sell? I just want the center most ring for a project, so it can be all beat up elsewhere.
thanks, mark

Re: Hubcap ID's
Does anyone know what is the proper hubcap for a 38 pickup? I have looked at pictures of 38 pickups online and it seems that many different hubcaps are being used. I would like to use the ones Henry put on it.

Re: Hubcap ID's
With respect, I'm sure you meant that the one in the lower left hand corner is for the '34 four and the one in the lower center is for the '34 V8.

Re: Hubcap ID's
The '36 & '37 hubcaps had "V 8" with a ring around it. One was recessed the other was raised. The '38 had a larger " V 8" with no ring around it. The '39 had a slightly smaller "V 8" with no ring. for Commercial and Standard and the Delux had a small "V8" with straight lines in the field. I could be wrong about the large and larger V8 on the commercials, but I am sure that someone will correct me.

Re: Hubcap ID's
With regards to my photo showing all six of these small Ford Hubcaps that attached to Wire Wheels, Dave is correct in that I listed the two 1934 Hubcaps in reverse. Thank you for pointing this out.

Re: Hubcap ID's
To answer johnh7's question, v12bill is correct in his comments. However, as they say, a picture is worth a thousand words, so i am attaching a picture of the hubcap that would be correct for a 1938 Ford Commercial. These were also the hubcaps that were used on the Australian 1938 Ford Utes.

Re: Hubcap ID's
Since this thread had gone there, these were the caps on my 39 pu. Some were a single large dish, some were a two "Step" dish.
Is either correct? Thanks, Gordon

Re: Hubcap ID's
malpais, I believe that the hubcaps that you show are off a 1939 Ford Deluxe, and as such, would not have been fitted to the Pickups. As there are very few 1939 Ford Pickups in Australia, I can't say for sure, but in my opinion, this is correct hubcap for your 1939 Ford Pickup. While it is similar to the 1938 Ford Standard Hubcap, you will notice that the V8 insignia is much smaller on the 1939 hubcap.

Re: Hubcap ID's
Looking at your picture again, you show two hubcaps. The first one is from a 1937 Ford, while the second is off a 1939 Ford Deluxe. Neither would be correct for your 1939 Ford Pickup.
