Mr. Lambert, I scanned through some of your posts but I did not find any mechanical information on your Tudor. Can you tell us more about your car (when you did the restoration, why type brakes, who did the engine and what parts did they use, etc.)??

Brent thanks for the interest and you can call me Tim. I didn't do the restoration, as I bought the car last year for this trip . It was restored by the owner in 92, he had bought it back in 68 from a neighbor. He had the bodywork and paint done somewhere. He went through the brakes, transmission, and installed a rebuilt short block in 92. Most of the invoices I have that came with the car are from Smitty's Antique Auto Parts store in Flushing, MI. The short Block cost $1400 in 1993. When I purchased the car it was running poorly do to a intake manifold gasket leak, which was corrected with a new gasket. That made all the difference in the world. I rebuilt the 7 tooth steering box, the water pump, distributer, carburetor, set the lifters, and replaced the radiator. I pulled the hubs and checked and adjusted the mechanical brakes and repacked the wheel bearings. I also replaced the timing gear and pulled the pan to clean out the gear pieces. When I pulled the pan I noticed that it had Babbitt bearings with shims under the caps. I probably should have checked bearing clearances then, but I was a little short on time and it isn't making any noise. The mechanical work done on the car by the builder seems to have been done very well. I did replace the generator with a 6 volt alternator.
