36 Original Upholstery Cleaning
Has anyone successfully cleaned 77 year old upholstery without shredding or ruining it? I want to keep the car original as much as possible and yet clean the mohair a little. I was thinking a good vacuuming or maybe lightly steam clean it?? Any experienced feedback or suggestions?

What ever you do, shampoo, etc., you should vacuum it first. To keep the material from being sucked into the vacuum cleaner, fasten a piece of panty-hose, over the nozzel. You might have to clean the panty-hose often, but it's worth it. It will let the dirt through, but will keep your material stable. Good luck, MIKE |
