Krw line bore
Has anyone made an adjustable line boring bar that fits the KRW bed plate for Model T? We have the bed plate, false cam and would like to get this thing going.
Thanks! |

You might look at this link unless you already have. http://www.mtfca.com/discus/messages...tml?1291584381
From most of the stuff I've read about the KR Wilson equipment is that it will require a reamer to do the finish work. They wanted a machine that anyone could do the job with but the bar wasn't all that accurate for the average mechanic to do any finish work with. Modern Tobin ARP stuff would make the job easier for production work. If your just doing a few then the KR Wilson set up was OK but time consuming and you have to have all the parts to do the job. Re: Krw line bore
Thanks jetmek, I will have to just make one. I can use the rough bore bar as my basis. Was hoping for an easy solution!lol.
Rotorwrench, thanks, lots of info there. We have Kwikway already so will tie that in to what we make. |

Re: Krw line bore
From what I understand, the Kwik Way bar is pretty close in diameter to the Model T main sizes. I assume you want to use the KRW stuff to get you alignment off the cam so you can do a model T. Maybe someone like Kohnke Rebabbitting would have some pointers. He posts on this and the Model A forum from time to time.

Re: Krw line bore
I’m going to modify the KRW roughing bar to have adjustable cutters like the KW. I will use the KW transmission for rotation and feed. The KW bar is too big and I want to use the KRW bed plate for proper alignment and support.
