Guys get a little grumpy around here at times, but this site has proven invaluable for me. I suggest it all the time to newbies and those who seem to be unfamiliar with what they are working on. Gotta be a little thick skinned maybe to get the most out of this forum, or maybe just understand human nature. )

Trying to solve the problem. Blow on the fuel line till I could hear bubbles.
Found the the new fuel pump to carb tubing was clogged. This was an old part included with the car but never connected...Never thought to see if it were clogged. Such a dope.
Thought I solved it. Cleaning the tube...
Still not starting..
I still thing I have to reinstall the fuel pump to the block. To make sure on properly.
I will tilt the pump toward me went inserting the lever into the block to make sure the lever is on top of the cam and not under it.
PS. Painted my spare wheel and had the new Lucas thin tire installed on it using a crummy MAC;'s Tube...Didn't know any better...to find a more accurate inner tube...next time. I put my 1933 cover on the spare and then installed it on the car..
Looks great... Went to take a phot0 to show you guys but my camera needs a new battery.....It is always something....
Thanks for your help and friendly comments...

Went out this morning and tried to start up one last time, before trying something else.
Car started up.
Only one new development.
During idling I hear a high pitched sound...like something from a dog whistle.
Not very loud..but you can tell it is present.
The sound goes away when step on gas petal.
Funny...Could that be the sound of increased fuel flowing through the carb and fuel pump..? Just joking.
It's always something.

Thinking back..remember I plugged the small hole in the top of the carb.
Maybe ?? Nah.. Did I create a
Gheorghe Zamfir Pan flute ????

Here is a photo of the latest fuel hose set up.
I used the hose from MAC's I ordered the proper fuel line to fuel pump hose from Mr. Shewman..I will install that when it arrives. Except, David said that my fuel line is in the wrong spot so my hose will be too kinked? Maybe I could just loosen the fuel line tie-down and slide the line over more to relieve the kink?
Still that noise is giving me the hebe jebees????What the heck is it?
Anyone have the number for Ghost Buster?

Could it be a vacuum leak, maybe in the throttle shaft?

Can't you just cut the line to shorten it and put a new fitting on the end?

Got to get you a stock replacement for that ugly heater manifold since the duct work to the firewall is long gone.

That's what that is! I'm not familiar with bangers, but have been wanting to ask that dumb question!

Can the fittings be attached with ring clamps like a radiator hose?

Interesting? I am up for anything that can remove the noise.
It was so disappointing. There was no strange noise after I replace the accelerator lever..It was not until I loosened the fuel pump to fir the pump to carb steel line.

At first i thought I had the fuel pump installed

wrong with the lever under the cam rather than over the cam, but the car still ran. The pump should not work if the lever was under the cam.. I thought maybe it was scrapping the underside of the cam?

In this photo of the fuel lines. The line from the tank seems to be bent toward the engine which requires the fuel hose connection from it to the fuel pump to be badly distorted. That yellow highted line should be straight, right? I will check tomorrow to see if the fuel line is actually kinked or just bent??

Straight and right inside the right frame rail and retained with a clip so that the vibration of the engine is confined to the flex line. Judging from your photo your metal gas line appears to be four or five inches too long. When the other flex line arrives, consider shortening your metal line.

You're a genius!
I put my fingers over where the throttle shaft enters the carb and was able to diminish the sound.

Is there a gasket that will seal this??? I am just beginning to learn about the Carb..
Could that be why someone drilled a hole in the carb top...it was his quick kluge fix.

I replaced the gasket between the carb and intake.....The Whistling noise is GONE!
Praise the Lord!
I must have disturbed the existing gasket when I loosened the carb to facilitate in attaching the new fuel line from the fuel pump to the carb.
Thanks to everyone for all your suggestions.
