The beaded flag reversed, as someone requested.

700rpm, you might wish to re-read The US Flag Code which does not seem to say that a whimsical representation of the flag may not have an additional graphic on it.

Title 4, United States Code, Chapter 1, subsection 8: Respect for the Flag: paragraph (g) "The flag should never have placed upon it, nor on any part of it, nor attached to it any mark, insignia, letter, word, figure, design, picture, or drawing of any nature."

I'm a Vietnam era vet, and I'm not here to argue. I simply stated a fact. No opinion, no ad hominem attack, no aspersions on anyone, just a fact. Now I'm gonna go drive my Model A.

Let's leave that nice lady's flag alone and argue about oil and white walls!

I think whitewalls would look great on Mitch's Lucy, it would give her some real class!!!!!

What about 3" Port-a-Walls on radial 16's or even 15's? A Cold War vet that flies Old Glory daily. Father of three serving. Russ

I'm laughing a bit at my own amazement of those who spout facts in some of the oddest places where non are really necessary to begin with. I envision it as sort of a "Debbie Downer" effect. You know, like someone showing up to a funeral and making an an announcement at the podium there that the coroner officially ruled that the person was dead. In such cases facts are not all that important to most and the messaging intent is lost. Oh, well, someone has to play the part of Captain Obvious, I suppose. :-)

Me, I am not going to worry a bit over any flag code failure, as the intent was fully appreciated by me as a VietNam era vet. My wife was just as appreciative of the lady's thoughtfulness as I and that alone made me one happy fellow, for sure. God bless her for making my day a whole lot brighter by her selfless act of kindness and hopefully she continues her spirit of giving to make the day of a whole lot of others who are much more deserving than myself.

God bless those here who are trying to get this thread back to the norm of just enjoying our sport and not taking life all too seriously over "facts" and their need to be explained at all times. :-)

I have a date with a hinge pin later today to get my truck mirror installed and to be done with it. I am just hoping that the shade tree outside can overcome the heat and the humidity were I can have fun in doing something that I truly enjoy. Unfortunately, my wife has some "Honey Do" projects for me which may take ultimate priority over me having such fun.... and that is sadly is indeed a fact :-)

As for me....Sarah's new floor boards will be here by UPS. So!!! it's finishing up time getting Sarah sound proofed and a whole lot cooler.

BTW...my humidity is back to normal for a few days.

and......I put in a new flag pole for my village and finally the flag is going up today............

It's a good day in the neighborhood boys and girls!!!!!
