I have benefited greatly from being a member of the Model A Restorers Club. The assistance I received from many of its members in restoring my 29 Special Coupe is priceless. I greatly enjoy reading the Model A News Magazine and would like others to benefit from this organization/magazine.

To that end I will pay for two (2) annual memberships for two people that are not current members. It will be given to the two people that respond first to this thread that are not current members. Do not send me a private message (PM) at this point as I want this to be transparent to all.

Once I have the two "winners" I will have Peggy at the membership office contact you for personal informantion (mailing address, etc). I will send her the check for the two annual memberships. I have already cleared this with her.

I am proud to be an associate and friend of some one like Hunter Fanney.

He represents all that is good about this community. He restored a coupe from scratch and did ALL the work himself and won a first place Henry at the MARC Fine Point meet in Lexington, proving that you can do it all on your own. He made NO excuses, taught himself how to paint, modified a store bought upholstery kit and hand finished all the hardware in addition to all the other work necessary to be the best of the best.

Hunter Fanney and Gary Karr are as good as it gets in this whole country as it pertains to restoring a Model A with their own hands and they , among others, are deserving of all the admiration and respect that comes their way.

I have been in this arena up to my eyeballs, and these guys are at the top of the list.

I'm proud to know you Hunter! Way to go, man.

Good job in doing this!!

Once in a while I will donate to someone (at my cost) membership(s) to the Route 66 Association of any of the 8 states it passes through. I have done this several times and I am amazed how a $25 donation / membership just floors folks! And this is out of my own pocket...

But - it is an investment into the route and the future of it JUST AS what you are doing is an investment into the Model A hobby and it's future.

For others I greatly encourage you to consider joining the Model A Restorers Club (MARC). The price, $38.00, for an annual membership is only slightly more than filling up your Model A one time.

Very easy to do:

1) Pull out your favorite credit card
2) Call the MARC businees office 734-427-9050
3) Ask for Peggy Lenart
4) Give her your mailing address and credit card info.
5) Start enjoying an excellent magazine/club

Total time required - less than three minutes
