Default Acellerator Spring Install and Turn Signal ?s

Although I have a Nov 28 Coupe, it appears to have the 'later' (Mar 30 - Jun 31) throttle control assembly on it... according to the Judging Standards. CAN a new spring be put on it without removing the assembly?

Also, I want to put the flat 'bumper-style' turn signals on my coupe that the vendors sell. My question is... I am seeing the older/NOS Flash-All Do Ray steering mounted signaling units for sale on Ebay. I have tried to ask detailed questions about them but the sellers don't respond. Does anyone out there have any knowledge of these units? I like them because they have a vintage look, they are small and have also the 'hazard warning' as well. Is there something that I should beware of.....? SALTMAN

NO

I don't think they look "vintage" at all. I think they look like an afterthought. Go check out the hidden units made by Tickin thru Time
that use existing lights and the switch can be mounted out of sight.

I used the ticken thru time set up on my 1937 sedan and my 1930 roadster pickup they have a small brainbox and a tiny toggle switch to mount on the gearshift, very clean setup. I think they are great and would use them again!!

If you really want a steering column mounted unit, I think the Signal Stat sold by several vendors looks more retro than the Do Ray unit, which looks more 1950ish. IMO.

Beware of eBay sellers that don't answer your questions.

I just installed a Logo Lite turn signal system in my truck. I used the small toggle switch and mounted it under the left corner of my dash.

Here is what I did.
I used an 1/8" thick by 1" wide piece of steel to mount the switch.
Bend a short L in one end of the strip of steel so that is just long enough to drill a hole in it for the threads of the toggle switch to fit through.
The switch will go through the hole from the top of the L so the switch is "upside down" on the L.
On the left side of the dash remove the upper most of the two machine screws that secure the dash face plate.
Cut the long end of the L so it will reach the screw location and yet keep the body of the switch hidden under the dash panel.
Mark the location of the screw on the L, drill a 5/16" hole and then spot weld a 1/4" nut to the back side of the L.
Doing this you can use the original dash screw to hold the bracket and switch in place.
Just the black lever of the switch is exposed and not at all noticeable.

Worked well for me.

FYI, My browser stopped from looking at Tickin thru Time. It appears to be infected.
Ron's Machine Shop. Google list it so and FireFox issued a strong warning. Might want to give a week or so to get sorted.

Got the same thing.
