Re: Memorial Day
There was a feature here on the news last night, about visiting U.S.veteran marines here to commemorate their time in NZ during WW2. 100,000 marines spent time in NZ before embarking on the Pacific campaign. Recently I came across my Aunties autograph book from that period she was in the WRNS. There were a number of American guys names, addresses, poems etc.I could not help but wonder, how many of them made it back home.

Re: Memorial Day
Every Memorial Day and Veterans Day two restored WWll era single engine planes are flown in formation in the skies around and above Bozeman. Their sound is found in the skies, in TV documentaries and in the hearts of men and women who actually fought during that era. It is a somber, piercing sound. Some day I will go to the airport, find those two pilots and thank them.
