i thought what type is correct for my 59? also has any used brad-penn oil in your

I use Brad-penn oil in my 302 with flat cam followers. Works great.

The Ford power steering units in the 50's used regular Type A trans fluid. Do not use ATF as the different chemical make up will find any possible leak. Type F should be a good replacement as Type A is very hard to find.

I use Brad Penn also. Very good for solid lifter engines and race engines. Have no idea if it would help to reduce leaks though? Sounds like age and gasket issues to me.
