41 transmission reverse idler gear play ?

Can anyone give me a sense of how much play I should have between the reverse idler gear and shaft? They don't sell replacement bronze bearings so I not sure I want to spend $$ on a new gear. The shaft has only slight wear which is bearably noticeable. Considering that this thing runs 600 weight oil I'm not sure how picky I need to be??

roll shaft 180 degree from where it was and use it.

It looks like Revers Idler bore .749, Counter shaft .745, Reverse idler shaft .746,

You mention 600 wt oil in your post. The transmission should be getting 90 wt. I had heard somewhere that 600 was correct as well but found this in my '39 manual and was chastised (nicely) by some old timers for using it. Switched to 80/90 wt. and run it year round.

Oh wow let me go back and look at a few things - no wonder it didn't leak - lol Seriously I'll dig into this a bit, I also have the container somewhere that I used last year and see what was.
