Default stromberg 97 filter

I just called K&N filters. They said they don't make a filter for a Stromberg 97.

Can someone supply me w/ a part number to ask for?

The part number of the 4" K&N filter is A039A4.
These are the one's suited for most chrome domes.

It is fairly easy to fab up air cleaners.
Pick a K&N filter element of the size you like and build around it.
Here is a pic of a 3 carb one that uses a Datsun 240Z element.
It only took a half hour to build.
They have elements in any shape you want.
Be sure to pick one with enough filter area for your application.

Yes they do, just like everything today, you go into a parts store to get something you know they have and if your lucky you can get the right guy who knows what yourtalking about. I just when out in my shop because I knew I saved one of the box my K-N came in. (Part no. RU-2650) I don't know if that the 4in. or the 5in. but they fit right down over the air horn of the 94 and 97 and a clamp like a hose clamp tightens right on. Try again. Walt

I also found that the K&N KA-1203 fits my air cleaners. They are 4" diameter x 2" high.
Good Luck.
