Default changing clutch in a 36 1 ton

I have a 36 1 ton with v8 and 4 speed. is it faster to pull the motor or move the rear-end and cross member to change the clutch?

Does it have a coupling in the middle of the driveshaft tube ---if so this can be dissconnected without removing the rear allowing trans removal

No it just has the rear end tube than a cross member than another tube and the cross member that bolts to the back of the trans.

Thats the coupling ---the short tube between the trans and the crossmember --a retainer is unbolted and the cover is slid back, and there is a bolted flange on the driveshaft u-joint so the shaft can be removed

To remove the flywheel the pan has to be dropped unless a later 2 piece pan has been installed

Which way is easiest probably depends on what tools you have --and what you are comfortable doing.
