Default 31 Town Sedan Door Mechanism

When replacing the front door mechanisms do you have to also remove the window lift mechanism?

Is your car a slant widow or Straight? If straight then it is all one mechanism.

If slant window, and to replace the lever handle mechanism/ "s" shaped lock spring, that assembly can be dropped down (after ctsk screws removed) and the rivet ground off the end of arm in place. Then remove that with the arm. It can be tricky to replace the rivet without someone holding a back up block, etc. Would be also interested how others do it.

David, sorry, it is all one mechanism but you can leave the arm and glass in the door.
