82-A Closed Cab Wood Fasteners?
I received the following request from a club member:
I am replacing all the wood in my 82-A closed cab and would like to know what bolts, screws etc. are required for this. The bolts for the door post would be most helpful and any information I might require to do this correctly. Thank you, Clinton If anyone knows of a source for this information, please let us know.

Re: 82-A Closed Cab Wood Fasteners?
Les Andrew's volume 2 Mechanics book has a section that describes the fasteners used for several body styles including a 28/29 pickup/AA cab. I took pictures of the 9 pages and can send you them if you like. I did find what I believe is a problem in that Les states most of the wood screws are #10, but from dismantling my cab and some research, I believe they are actually #12 screws. I am posting the first page of Les' pickup/AA section below this post.

I use slotted head # 12s. Just a warning, Slotted head screws are becoming Dinosaurs. You can't get them at Lowes or Home Depot. The best source I've found is the flea market. The Cheapest too! Don't forget to put Butcher's wax on the threads, they drive much easier. "Butcher's Wax" is name of a product, but any paste , wood wax will do.

you can also try Fastenal for slotted screws. bar soap works great on the threads of screws to ease driving

The best place to buy fasteners is boltdepot.com as they will sell as few as one. That way you don't have to buy some minimum number when you only need a few. They have a great selection too.

This is the best way to go. He will have exactly what he needs. Nothing "extra" and no additional orders for shortages.

Bert's has a bolt/screw kit, but like most model A suppliers, it is probably made up of modern fastener with incorrect heads and marking on the heads. If authenticity is important, these fasteners aren't what you want. I could be wrong but I don't think so.
