2 piece front pulley
I have a new 2 piece pulley that has the 2 tabs that line up.The seal sleeve part of it has square cut tangs on it and the pulley part is cut so it has rounded corners and doesn`t fit tight against the sleeve. There`s about an 1/8 inch gap between pulley and sleeve. Is this suppose to be this way to press them together or do I have to file the pulley tangs to fit the sleeve?

Re: 2 piece front pulley
If you would like to hear one serious opinion & sound advice offered from years of engine rebuilding & balancing experience, please call engine re-builder Mr. Ron Kelley, (advertised in The Restorer magazine), & ask his opinion on pros & cons of installing today's offered Model A (1) piece pulleys and/or the (2) piece pulleys.

Re: 2 piece front pulley
it doesn't sound properly made. The male and female tangs are supposed to engage fully and both should be square cut. Return to vendor for proper one

Re: 2 piece front pulley
I suspect the grooves are longer than the tabs. Thus assures the outer pully will be seated fully. The rounded area in the grooves are to prevent a stress point that may lead to a fracture. I think your fine. A photo will confirm my observations.
