Makes for a great place to start putting it back together though.

It goes back together the same way. One piece at a time.

Most important car tool invented lately is the digital camera and HUGE memory chip. Anytime I take something apart I photo it before and during disassembly. Saved my bacon many times. Second best is freezer ziplock bags with a sharpie to ID parts I take off.

Add to this the seal-able plastic totes in which we can store the parts safely.

They are fun for some to take apart. I've seen a lot of them that never got put back together. Takeing something apart is one thing, The ability to put it back together is often lacking.

I had a friend that would comment when looking at a car being taken apart,Now there's a car I'll be able to buy cheap in five years or so.I tried telling him that may be so,but he sure as hell ain't gonna sell it to you after you insult him like that.I know of a half dozen A's apart right now.Three I know will go back together, and the other three will wind up in baskets at the estate sales.

That looks like a nice wagon to start with! Sometimes they don't even come apart easily after years of rusting together. Good luck!

Those pictures bring back memories. I took my 12/10/28 station wagon apart in 1973 and finished restoring it in 1974. I still have it, show it and drive it.

Good luck. Restorations are fun, but can leave you trying to something to hit with a hammer a few times when you get pissed. My advise to you is don't set a hard deadline for yourself. A year or two is a respectable amount for the "weekend warrior". (Someone who only can work on it on the weekend) I can complete a restoration in about 6 month, but I really have no idea how many restorations I've been apart of, and by now I've pretty much got it down step by step on how to go about things in the most timely manner. I also don't wait until I need something to order it, I try to stay ahead in that aspect. I'm about to start on my '31 deluxe 2 door phaeton, I'm dreading doing the wood for it. I sure hope all your wood is in good condition. Please continue to post build pics. I'd like to see it come together.

Here is one in our club. Wish it was mine.
It was refinished a few years ago, and I'm told the wood is original, except for two pieces. It was once owned by a painter in Mpls.

Break out a 1/2" and 3/8" battery powered impact and you can knock a Model A or T down in no Time!

Not of any relevance to this discussion, but has to do with the taking apart and not getting put back together stuff:
I have a neighbor who has a very large shop and I was invited to see a 26 Model T coupe that he owns. The car is actually together, but doesn't run, and needs a ton of work.
But the real story is the other accumulated stuff that will never be assembled in his lifetime:
An early 30's Ryan aircraft, totally disassembled, including the 5 or 7 cylinder radial engine. Another stack (6 total) of surplus WW2 radials engines. all with less than 150 hours on each (Navy certified). And two other aircraft in pieces. None of any of it is for sale.
Kinda sad
