Default valve guide and seats

On stripping my engine I find that the valve guides are loose in the block (.006)
And this has allowed oil to get sucked up and carboning up the chamber.
Would any one know the stock bore for the guides or the stock OD of the guides,
My fix is to ream the guide bores back nice and straight and make up new cast iron guides using straight valves.
My engine has a new burnington crank and insert mains.
I did about 2500klms then got a vibration and noise in it,( so had it trucked home)
What I find is the cam to crankshaft centres are TOO tight and the alloy cam gear ended up with NO backlash and made a mess of the gears .also funny wear marks on the mains.
they were still OK but had a really polished mark on especially the front one.
What I found there was the main caps are able to move around as the bore in the caps and block as well as the bolts are not a nice tight fit, My fix for this is to ream the caps and block to 13 MM and make new bolts,
Any advice will be appreciated.

Lawrie I normally install 1 piece guides and find that knurling them in the lath works well

I had my 33 B machined for insert bearings recently and had the main caps pinned with 2 roll pins to ensure they always located, got new HT bolts that were a tight fit through the block and caps, this ensured proper alignment, with the centre lines for the crank and cam, I got the machinist to follow Jim Brieley's tips. As Colin has stated I knurled 2 of my guides and the others were a nice press fit.
