Default Too low of 49 front end

I have a Fatman front end on my 49 woodie, a hot rod with a 302 Ford v8(for those not liking hot rods go one to the next post). Tired of scraping the underside on bumpy Houston roads so installing new front spindles. Master cylinder is still under the floor. Fatman now makes front spindles +1.5 inches above their low stock height spindles(- 3 inches). Rear spring was built lowered 2 inches so car will have a more stock stance as well. Picture without hub cap is +1.5 inches and the one with a hub cap is Fatman standard lowered spindles. Bumper height raised +1.5 inches. Only thing that looks obviously non stock to me is the GM steering column with a Limeworks Crestliner steering wheel.

BTW what is the stock 49 front bumper height?

As I recall with wheels on the ground supporting full weight.
Assuming good springs, this is what the normal/stock ride height should be.
Lower 'A' frame, outer pivot points one inch lower than inner.

15's would help fill the wheel well and raise it a little, depending on tire size.

I have 4 14s and had 2 15s. The 15s were on the back and the car was raked so much it couldn't be aligned. Chucked out the 15s and use the 14s.

Think astro van springs are a good cheap replacement for the early 50s. lower, not in the dirt.

Think on the early yrs you need a angled piece on the top to fix the caster when lowering.
