Default Thank you Mitch//pa

Your tip, hint, trick helped me troubleshoot an electric problem for a disabled veterans truck(not an A) His battery would be dead after a few days. I remove the battery cable an used a test probe between them and it light up. After removing the wires from the alternator, the test light went out. Installed a fresh alternator and problem solved. I thank you and the disabled vet thanks you!! A

I taught him well In the Ol' Days, his only TOY wuz a TEST LITE
OH, an after thought, many times when an alternator has a bad diode, that can draw a battery down, it develops a sound, like a BAD BEARING !

Thats good to hear, on many modern cars the B juice is fed to the alternator via a fuseable link. some times when looking for a parasitic draw pulling each fuse one at a time may not always turn off the test light. disconnecting the component directly like you did is the only way.
Thanks

I still have the OOOOLD Signal Stat test light Chief gave me ! It's worn out about 9 cords. Once, Chief put some flashing bulb in it, REALLY screwed me up. It was from some warning light on some old tractor.
