Default Counter Balanced weights

Where can a person purchase counter balanced weights to be placed on a stock Model A Ford crankshaft? I could appreciate a vendor name, with phone number or email address, that sells these weights.
Thank you, Mike

Mike, sorry for sending two replies. But I know Burlington Crankshaft is making a brand new crankshaft that looks just like the balanced "B" crank. It's a little pricey, but new. Burlington Crankshaft, P.O. Box 521, Collinsville, CT 06022.

I couldn't see their email, but you can Google them on the net.

Don't think Burlington is making that crankshaft any more. Snyder's lists a SCAT crank, but it's even more expensive than the Burlington was.

Mike, you don't say where in Washington State you're located but Antique Auto Ranch in Spokane is a good source of parts, repairs, and information. They can either get the weights for you or tell you where to get them. Their phone number is 509-535-7789
If you happen to be in Eastern WA please give me a call 509-928-0188

See post #2.

NO welding involved with installing Dan's weights and they will add the maximum amount of weight that can be added to a stock crank.

These are the ones that press on over the round cheeks of the stock crankshaft???
I like this design if it's what I think it is.

Dan Price's press on weights are really nice, they are like the so-called BB style, the early B factory modified cranks, but they do need machining of the crank to fit. They do not just "press on." Not a job for amateurs. My crank with those weights weighs 53 lbs. You should have a lightened flywheel with it. But man, it is a smooth combo. Not as good as a modern 4 banger with a specially designed balance crank, don't expect that much, but nice.

If you going to fit Dan s weights sweat them on instead of pressing
and pin them also

Although I have a very efficient method of removing counterweight pins, installing pins it is the LAST thing you want to do. DO NOT use pins. Use socket head set screws in a counterbored hole.. You may want to take the weights off some day to grind the crank and Joe Average crank grinder will not know how to do it without drilling..Bad scene.
