Default Throttle and Spark rod springs

Any advice with installing the throttle and Spark rod springs at the bottom of the steering column? Removing the pins was easy but getting the springs compressed enough to reinstall the pins is proving to be a challenge.

Are you working on a bench? You might need an extra pair of hands to compress the spring while you place the pin.

use a 7/16 nut driver to push the control arm up to the pin hole, drop in pin, you can also file or grind a slight bevel on the pin to make easier to drop in pin if it is a tight fit.

The steering assembly is still in the car.
